Hahaha dream on Keeper. This game will never beat DotA. The map and graphics are way to much. I don't like the new names of the hero's. The only thing that would beat "old" dota is when Blizz decides to remake it. That would be super awesome.
I give this game 7 out of 10 comparing it with DotA.

Lol, ye i went back recently to DoTA and it's just not as appealing as it use to be. I think the main reason for it's depressing aura is the game speed. HoN is quick and action packed.. avg game 30min. DoTA on the other hand is much slower.. avg game around 45min - 1hr.I’m a long time DotA fan but playing HoN and then going back to play DotA is just so depressing :/
The entire interface of the game is infinately better than Dota. A new player to HoN can easily figure out how to create recipes for new items etc which is what Dota failed at.
Any noobs were immediately thrown in the deepend and they had no clue how the item system works, HoN remedys this with its easy to use interface when it comes to shopping.
Another thing that would attract Dota players immediately is the reconnect system which forever plagued Dota no matter what precautions are taken.
The whole friends interface is also brilliantly done giving the option of a simple Right-click -> Join Game to join your friend in a game AND you can even invite a friend to your game.
Another thing is the after game chat system. In HoN it opens a channel for the people that played the game that you were in so you could potentially add new friends or just talk about the game you just had.
HoN also has the auto-balance system to give fairer games, especially for beginners and honestly its really not fun when you joined a dota game to find that your 4 teammates are terrible at the game and meanwhile you're playing against Pros who dont want to end the game because they just want to see how strong they can make their heroes... which brings me to the voting system. At least now when a team is getting creamed they can concede so they dont waste anymore time in a boring game just getting owned.
The voting system also allows for a remake of the game, so if something happens that everyone agrees requires a game restart OR if you had a really awesome game and want to play the with the same people, Its literally 2 clicks away.
Need I mention the graphics, in game VoIP, easily customisable controls, netcode?
I could go on but I think I've made my point.
The potential that S2 have given HoN is crazy and I can't wait for the official release. Dota is a thing of the past, get over it.
You guys sure its running, I just had a browse at the game servers and dont see SA there only USE, USS, EU and JPN
