Hmmmm, that is strange. What dealership did you go to?
Sandton, I guess that answers it.
I was really expecting them to try sweeten the deal.

It m ight be a bit out of your way, but you should give Honda Midrand a go. They have, in my opinion, the best service out there. I always take my car there for services etc. Even though it is a bit out of my way![]()
Just went down to Honda and test drove a 09 2.0l Auto. Awesome car. Reasonably powerful. Nice and big.
Not a bad price but think I can do better. Was pretty amazed that the salesman told me he couldn't give me a cent off the advertised price. :wtf:
Edit: O and add another R4000 for on the road fees.

I bought a Honda Accord 2.4L 2006 model back in 2008 and I have no complaints thus far. I love the way it drives and the fuel consumption is great (6.9L/100km on the Highway & 10L/100km on the city/town roads). My next car after this one will be an Accord again.
I bought my last car telling them that the "on the road" & admin fees will be absorbed by the purchase price of the car, since it's what they earn commission for - seeing as I didn't need any of their "sales advice" when picking my car and pretty much phoned them every couple of days to check on stock.
They obliged.
Shop around when looking to buy and to be honest I have found the dealers further out more willing to make a deal. Bought my Accord from Honda Menlyn and my S2000 from Honda Zambezi. In both instances I negotiated price and made them include all on road fees into the deal.
I can't say that Sandton really blew me away.
I sometimes get the impression some dealerships think they are doing you a favour...
A guy at our office had a look at 2009 Accord 2.0 with 30000km on the clock. He was very impressed until he phoned around for insurance quotes and the Accord was the most expensive to insure out of the cars he was looking at( one being a same year Audi A6 3.0 )!
Have you given the is250 any thought? Top of JD Power ratings and not much more than an Accord if you are shopping 2nd hand.
I have seen them around yeah, very nice looking car.
I will have to see if it fits into my budget.
Exactly what's your budget? 320d is power, more power
Hey Grimspoon
Did you eventually get something?? I have just ordered the 2011 Accord with a few extras i.e. tow bar etc. Will collect Thursday or Friday.
