Honda CR-V - Battery Replacement?

So my Cr-V (2018) went in for its second year service and the original Honda fitted battery failed a load test (26%). What type of battery would you guys recommend I replace it with and what am I looking at paying as I don't want to be ripped off?

Original battery should last 5 years not 2 years, so something else might be wrong.

I thought so but there weren't any other faults and the original battery only carries a one year warranty so I have to replace anyways. Probably a dead cell or something.

No, never drained it. The car is driven daily so I'm assuming there must be a fault with the battery.

Look at Varta batteries as well.

I also Varta Batteries.
My car currently has an E11 (652), my previous battery lasted 4 & half years as i had a faulty positive cable to alternator.

When the Dixon 646 battery dies in the other car, i would have saved enough for a Varta battery.

2 Years is damn short. Got a Chev Aveo 2012 (2011 Build Year) still with the factory battery. And I have by accident left the interior light on. Battery still good, but my gut is telling me it might fail this winter after 8 years

I bought new battery for my jazz ivtec for r1000 (old battery was sold to the dealer) . Replaced it myself.
If ur old battery lasted 2 years I think any branded battery will last longer than that.

So I managed to get Honda to replace the battery. I suspect that the tracking device might be draining the battery but not 100% sure. Tracker are willing to test but if it's not their device at fault, I must pay them R600 for call out. FFS!!!

Exactly. I'm not paying them for nothing. I'll just test the new battery couple of months later and take it from there.
