Hi all, I need some input from you, plan on purchasing a Honda Jazz 1.5i 2007 model with +- 80000km on the clock. Can you indicate to me what you will be willing to pay for such a car and what current trade or resale value is. Manual silver colour.

I would really appreciate your comments.

Compare it against classifieds for the same car. Quick guess R45k

Thanks for the replies so far guys, I appreciate it. If I plan on selling this vehicle for 60000 - 65000, this would be a possibility then?

should be good value, and last a long time,

boring as well, but what do you want in a car?

reliability or design/perfomance

1.5 is the V-TEC and for what it is actually not boring at all.

Also probably the most versatile car on the planet and best in class for sure.

OP : R59 000 - R72 000.

Here is what blue book says,
Mine is a feb 2016 version, so not that out of date,

I added the kilo and condition flap at the end as well

How odd that the 1.4 is worth more (although lacking mileage data).

How come no AT listed?

List the rest of the spec levels, didn't know op exact trim and spec, so found the closest.

As I recall 2006/7 only had the 1.4 spec in manual or auto and the 1.5 V-TEC spec in manual or auto.

The trim levels and engines went together and there were only two, unlike after that where they went nuts.

I had the 2006 V-Tec. They come with the side skirts, rear and front bumper (which has fog lights). The 1.4 was the boring one.

Sold mine for R47k with 120000-ish on the clock to a friend when I left SA.

Show me a dealer who pays whatever book value is ... in fact, with so many dealers using the AutoBid system, book value doesn't come anywhere into the equation. It's more a case of 'see what the lowest offer is and offer R1 more', so it's a race to the bottom.

This. I've never had a dealer offer me anything near book. They don't even look at it anymore

Because they still need do make at least R10k profit. The only time u should sell a car to a dealer is when u don't really care about the money and just want to get rid of the car.

OP seems like he wants to buy and resell. To make a quick buck.

If that's the case, then dude, if you don't plan on stealing the car, then forget it.
