Hooked on apps?

It started innocently enough. The first one was free. So you tried it. And you liked it. And you wanted more.

That's why you should move over to symbian- there aren't any apps to download. I got all excited when I found a calculator, but then it didn't work.

Appdiction?
So true - Wonder why users do not look/explore if particular function/app is not native to the OS, this being the case then only download the app. It would appear from forum posters in the Android and IOS OS phones cannot operate their devices without apps. In contrast the Windows Phone OS expert users do not make use of apps as much as most are native to the OS.
Apps are all about being Bulldusted by PRODUCT BRANDING a good example is the sale executive advertising that his brand of deep fat fryer " Fries food from all directions in a more efficient manner" = Smoke and Mirror rubbish.
Just my 2cents worth :D

No sadly, I have a WP7 and the only apps I have bought where games, (Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja etc) but most of the apps available are complete rubbish, or some remake of twitter/facebook.

When one starts off with these devices a lot of money is spend on apps ... and as you grow accustomed to the devices the need for apps get less and less to the point where you have a few that you really use/need. I seldom visit the apps stores anymore. There is seldom anything revolutionary coming that can be classified as a must-have app.

My Android must-have list now only consists of: Tapatalk, TweetCaster, FNB app, TouchDown, Kindle, Skype, Dropbox, Passdroid, Chrome browser, Maps, and WhatsApp. All I really need. The rest is hardly ever used.
