Horror attack on elderly tourists

He did not say anything to us, he just started attacking us. He was aggressive, I did not understand why,” Klaus said.

Welcome to Africa's arsehole.

1. Noordhoek beach has not been safe for years. There have ALWAYS been incidents of attacks going back 30 years or more.

2. Guest houses / hotels / tourism people are incredibly irresponsible about warning tourists about local dangers.

3. Most tourists are incredibly stupid about their money, their cameras and where they go. I really doubt that even in the safest cities in the world it would be wise to walk around with a bulging wallet sticking out your back pocket, fumbling through a sheaf of notes at the till, and generally presenting a rich easy target. And while we are on the subject - just because you went on a tour to a shebeen or township during the day to a precleared location does not mean you can go back later by yourself at night. Especially if you are young, and female. This is beyond incredibly stupid.

I've lived in Noordhoek the last 30 years, it used to be safe when I was a kid growing up. Only since the early 2000s and massive expansion of the informal settlement 2km away from the beach has safety become an issue.

Any idea which beach the good white police patrol so I can have fun in the sun?

Seems finding a white policeman at a beach is the same as finding an IT guy at a staff function :p

The guy is there being generally unsociable?

I was thinking more along the lines of fixing everybody's PCs :p

"What do you do sweetey?"
"I'm a network engineer at various clients"
"Oh? That is so impressive, you must be very good with computers. My computer at the house gives me a funny warning message when ...."

I was riding on Noordhoek beach in the late 80's and the dunes were not safe then. The main part of the beach was OK, but it was advisable not to go alone or at times when the beach was empty.

This is not the appropriate sub-forum to share your wet dreams.
