Anybody else having trouble with Afrihost hosted email from 12 November?

Up until the 12th of November, the following settings worked for Outlook, Geary and Gmail:
POP3: lotor.aserv.co.za:995
SMTP: lotor.aserv.co.za:465

Gmail briefly worked on 13 November using:
POP3: mail.mydomain.co.za:995
SMTP: mail.mydomain.co.za:465

As of 14 Nov:
Gmail can only check emails using POP3: mail.mydomain.co.za:995
Geary can check emails using IMAP: mail.mydomain.co.za:993 but can only send using SMTP: mail.mydomain.co.za:25 (no security)
Outlook no luck

Other notes:
Settings according to the Control Web Panel

Secure SSL/TLS Settings
Username: Your Email Address
Incoming Server: vixenish.aserv.co.za
IMAP Port: 993
POP3 Port: 995
Outgoing Server: vixenish.aserv.co.za

Incoming Server: Your Domain
IMAP Port: 143
POP3 Port: 110
Outgoing Server: Your Domain
SMTP Port: 25

Nothing should have changed on our side, but I'm having trouble figuring out what the error is that you're seeing? Are you getting a send or receive error?

If you can give us more info on the exact error, we should be able to give you more assistance.

One thing is that you must make sure that Outbox authentication is on if you are sending via the server (and not a general SMTP).

Hi, the issue was resolved after contacting support a second time.

The first time I used the callback option, the person that responded told me that you are no longer supporting secure connections on SMTP. Ok, a bit of a step backwards but Geary did work with the setting. Once I started setting up Outlook on other PCs the settings failed again. At that point, I created this thread to see if I am to only one affected.

Finally, I created a support ticket via Clientzone with the information in the above post 30min later a Harish responded saying the SSL/TLS issue was resolved on your end and I can connect with the security setting.

Everything seems to be working now. Knocks on wood.

Glad everything is working - thanks for posting an update :)
