Hi all,

Our company is experiencing increasing problems with our ISP (Goal Technology Solutions in Midstream Estates), in particular, their hosted exchange service. In short - the service is just too unreliable (down constantly, they do upgrades during the day etc).

Can anybody recommend a reliable hosted MS Exchange provider in SA? I don't want to go international. We have 5 mailboxes.

In addition, I am thinking of moving our company domain name (a .co.za) into our control - it is currently with the ISP. We have hosting provided by a different service provider and of course the mail service with GTS. How do I gain control over my domain name and do I need to "park" it somewhere?

Thanks!

EDIT: I put his in software for the "Hosted Exchange" part... Moderators, please move if deemed necessary.

IS?? http://www.is.co.za/application/exchange/Hosted.htm

Why do you need to host exchange for 5 mailboxes? What do you want to achieve by moving the domain name into your "control"? Do you not just need a single local hosting provider that can host both your email and web site?

Because we use the MS Exchange services extensively? And I have 5 email users? I don't want to buy my own Exchange server, setup a dedicated internet connection and train to become an Exchange expert! We have neither the capital nor the resources to go this route.

If you can suggest a cheaper alternative, please do! We use the calendar synchronisation, shared folders, server-based rules, Windows Mobile synchronisation etc.

Thanks anycase, I'll look at IS.

My webhosting is at a different service provider than my email, thus, if I move either, I have to let the ISP who manages the domain know to change it. If I have it under my control, though, I can change the necessary MX records.
