House robber shot dead

obviously you never understand what is the meaning of "private property"....
or may be your is "public property" :D

all the above except ADT I want to comment,

you contacted with security company, which you already authorized the security personnel to enter your premises without further authorization, you understand that?

Private property (in most places in the modern world) doesn't give you the right to do what you to want on the property. You have to fit into the laws of the country that the land belongs to, which has a equal or sometimes greater right to the property (depending on the country and circumstances). In an extreme example, you can't maim, torture and kill people on your property, yet in the old days of kings and queens that was totally up to the king/queen who could do so (as they personally owned the land).

ADT thus has a valid reason to enter your property, so you can't just go shoot the guy because he entered you house! That's the point exactly.

did you read my posts correctly?
No one said "I can kill anyone when a person inside my house"
but "a person without my authorization to enter my house." It is a very big difference.

There's a couple of scenarios where that wouldn't work though. Firstly, how do you know, when confronted with someone in your house, if they really broke in or just walked in when the door was opened (maybe they entered the wrong townhouse, I've done that before, they all looked the same). Secondly, they could be a kid who thought it was 'cool' just to enter the house, maybe on a dare, this happened a lot when I was a kid, and still happens now. Thirdly, I could easily invite someone that I didn't like over, shoot them, break a window or door and say it was self-defense.

Of course, you are entitled to feel that shooting someone is just punishment for breaking and entering, but this is exactly the kind of mentality we've been trying to root out in our country (and many first world and developing countries).

so many psycho-killers, trap you to enter his house, kill you and claim you force enter. :D

if you are human, you will know when you should use the deadly force. Or you assumed all people are monsters / psycho-killers.

Shoddy police work has allowed a robber - shot and wounded in a struggle with a Pretoria homeowner - to go free. The suspect, who is believed to have disappeared after charges against him were withdrawn last week, was shot in the groin when he and his three accomplices attacked the Pienaar family in their home in Edgehill Street, Queenswood.

....
....

The reason, claim police, is that vital statements used to link an arrested suspect to a crime scene, were not taken.

"When I heard that the man had been released I could not believe it. I was dumbfounded. When I phoned the investigating officer he was arrogant and did not seem to care.

"When I told him it was because of his pathetic work that the gunman was free he told me he did not care about my opinion," said Pienaar, adding that he had only been informed on Friday when he began asking questions after he heard rumours about the suspect's release.

Pienaar said: "They didn't even think to tell us, and they have yet to apologise.

"How can a policeman not do something so small as to make sure that a vital statement needed to link a suspect to a crime scene has been taken," he said.
