so that is your defence? You going to play that card?
What card? Sorry I should have really made it an addendum to a previous post.

Damhouder (Prac. Cri.n. Cap. 62) gives as examples of treason inter
alia the stirring up of sedition among the people and also the
rendering of assistance to the enemy by acts, arms or counsel.
In law, sedition is overt conduct, such as speech and organization, that is deemed by the legal authority to tend toward insurrection against the established order. Sedition often includes subversion of a constitution and incitement of discontent (or resistance) to lawful authority. Sedition may include any commotion, though not aimed at direct and open violence against the laws.
So province = nation then?
According to Van Leeuwen (Cens. For. 5.2) treason can be committed
in._yarious ways - e.g. where one stirs up sedition or attempts to
destroy the fatherland or collects the people against the state.
Is the WC not part of RSA? Seriously ....?
Fatherland? How old is that reference you made?
I doubt the ANCYL's end goal of this is overthrowing the government of the country.
So province = nation then?
Nice sidestep.... Is the Western Cape not part of the RSA? Yes or No.
If yes, then you are a wrong. If no you should ask for your school fees back.
So province = nation then?
So you recon Treason does not apply to the boeremag bunch since they would not have over thrown a nation.
I mean we can all say with certainty that it would have been a beeeeggg flop.
Apologies, I elaborated. The WC is and should always be part of the RSA.
It's just that, IMO, a different set of rules apply to civil disobedience in the Wester Cape 'cos it's held by the DA.
Did you read the Boeremag's plans / goals? They were certainly planning on trying to overthrow the nation's government.
The ANC Youth League in the province claims the league president, Julius Malema, is being made a scapegoat and that the league will make the country ungovernable should disciplinary action be taken against him.
Then if the ANCYL threaten with acts of terrorism against a province of the RSA is that not treason?
Rules by who, the DA or National Government?
And the ANCYL not?
They have made the same threats.
