Ever since win 10 is getting newer, this computer is getting slower. What is the cheapest way to get it a bit faster.

SSD, will makes it feel good even with 4GB RAM.

Is it Windows 32 bit? (looking at that usable story)

Are you using 32 bit or 64 bit windows?
Looks like 32 to me - you definitely need 64-bit Windows as 32-bit Win won't address more than 3.5Gb.
Next thing to get is an SSD. In fact, get it first, then install 64 bit Win to get your extra .5Gb back.
If you're not happy with that, then go 8Gb RAM, but spend $$ on SSD first and get Windows installed properly (you will have to back everything up and wipe unfortunately)

SSD first.
RAM a distant second.

Seriously, Windows 10 loves an SSD.
If money is tight, you can make do with even a 128GB SSD. I have a 128GB in an old laptop, with Windows 10, Photoshop Word/Excel a couple of older games and there's still some space left over.

+1 on this. Just use the 128Gb as the primary drive for your apps and Windows. Move all the 'My documents, my pictures, desktop, etc..' files to your old drive (now D:). Keep any data files there, run the OS on a 128 / 256 GB SSD. 4Gb is enough for most Windows stuff. You can go 8 once you've upgraded the SSD if you want.

My wife's laptop cannot take Win 64. It's also an AMD. I was stunned when I tried to install Win 10 64 and it gave me an error. It's the first time I came across something like that. For her it's fine as she only uses O365 and browsing. I would never be able to use a 32 bit OS.

A new processor wouldn't make much difference really, you'd still be bottlenecked by the HDD and RAM.

SSD, then an additional 4GB RAM and it will be a new machine.
