How do i connect my seurity camera to my pc?

I have a wireless security camera that I use at home. How do i connect is to my pc and record onto my hard drives as I have over 1 TB of space and a lot of it is unused?
 
u've stated it is a wireless security camera, but is it for PC use?? Does it have a USB interface or some way of connecting it to a PC??

If its a normal wireless security camera, then u'll need to connect it upto a PC that has a PVR-tvcard in (can then record to either DVD or hard-disk)

Most of the better wireless security cameras support motion sensing and recording these days in their firmware (The recording is done to a share/ftp of your choice) - But as an alternative, and if you are Linux savvy, you could have a look at Zoneminder

I utilise Zoneminder on two seperate servers at home, using both wireless, and analogue cameras (connected to TV Tuners) and it works extremely well!

I am not aware (and do not wish to be) of a Windows alternative!
 
Are not wireless cams connected via a NIC? You will need to find the make and model and see if there is a default connection you need to connect to. Does windows not pick up any wireless networks when the cam is on and close?
 
i'm thinking his camera's are normal CCTV wireless Security cams. Not IPCAM's. So it prolly uses RCA outputs, In that case he'l need a PVR tv-card and software to record :>
 
Standard Wifi Security CCTV cams normally have a little box (basically an access point) with RCA's on the back, which communicates wirelessly with the camera - As Napalm mentioned, it would be necessary to send the video feed into a TV-Tuner card... Which can then be used to record to the PC, using something such as Zoneminder
 
My uncle bought a package a few months ago, had 6 wireless camera's, wich connected to a Unit Wirelessly. (that unit can be plugged into any tv via die RCA cable) That unit had a multimode and manual camera selection buttons on it.

But u get some of these Wireless camera's that is 2 parts only Camera with Antenna, and then a Antenna box unit with RCA output to tv (for single camera setups)
