How do I go to ''Bridge mode'' with my modem?

As far as I know the Netgear DG834GT doesn't support bridged mode. I could be wrong though...

Once in bridge mode if you want to go back to routing mode, there will be a link in the left menu[Device Mode] or you can follow the link above.
