How do i identify a CPU?

I wanna know how i identify this CPU i found in my garage its a Pentium !!! (3) and thats all it says on it no ID nothing, Any Advice??

um, on the aluminum plate, it should have the model and what not on it. I suggest you clean it, then check in the light.

if you can get it in a PC you can use CPU-Z

Well i presume the mean the actual little square, if so there is a serial code of some sort....."L006A12" anyone heard or find anything bout it?

Sounds to me like a 386 chip?

Dual Slot 1 Socket, if that means anything....

Cut off the pins and melt them down for the 29c worth of gold. Probably worth more than the CPU.

Yeah, that helps. Means it's an earlier revision P3. Can you see any print on the top edge of the cartridge? Should be in gray, I think, with a 2D barcode somewhere in the vicinity as well.
