How do I insert borders?

Can someone please advise me how to insert borders on 4x6 pics.

I want to insert a black border on my b&w 4x6 photos and I have about 50 of them. Doing it in CS3 is a pain ... is there any other software that I can use?

I tried Faststone Resizer but the borders end up in different sizes for different photos.

If you can do it once in PS3 then just record an action.

EDIT - or google for "Photoshop frame actions".

As bwana said do it "once" in CS3, record it as an action and then just replay it over and over. Not sure how you are doing it in CS3 but you should be doing it by increasing the canvas size by X pixels and selecting black as the background colour, even without an action it can take the better part of about 10 seconds to add a border.

used tip from bwana making sure that relative is checked.
