I think you're getting confused. the DDR2 / DDR3 is with regards to the memory on the graphics card itself. This can differ from the memory that you install in your SYSTEM in both type and quantity.
The 8500GT is certainly not worth R600-00, and especially without warranty! If you're really looking to play some games, then you should seriously consider the 9600GT. Although it might be a bit more than you were initially willing to pay, you will definitely see where your money went and you won't regret it
Yeah the 8500 is quite rubbish. I know, I had one
lol i was about to say that this is ddr3 that wont fit on my pc (i think) my ram is ddr2 so thats what im basing my assumption on lol (my mobo is a bio star something made for amd processors....my pc is amd 5000+ )
eish, now i understand what u mean about the 3650.
Like said above, this ddr3 is actually gddr3 graphics card ram, not ddr3 system ram.
So yeah, u just gotta plug in the card and the gddr3 is already soldered on for ya.
Whys everyone going for the 9600GT?
This card here had gddr4

Or apparently there's a forsa 9800GT special somehwere going for 1.5k...too lazy to search though
Don't forget that 9600GT has 256-bit memory bus, while that card only has 128-bit. That is a crucial difference
Did you fry that one too?
Or do you only do that in notebook graphics![]()
Like with any hardware installation, its pretty hard to mess things up in terms of plugging stuff in.....Everything that plugs in pretty idiot proof....Static damage now that is another story![]()
