I currently have an ISDN line, my father cancelled the ISDN subscription becuase of the poor service at telkom. I am looking to apply for ADSL, but i do not know what speed my line can take... How do i find this out? (besides phoning telkom becuase i dont have 4hours to spend waiting on the telephone)

You don't really have a choice about it.

Aww:( I hate phoning them!!!! they seriously need to up their game, yesterday i spent 3 hours 47mins and 23 seconds WAITING on the phone, until i eventually hung up

Use their call back service, it's always worked for me.

sorry i don't know how else you would go about that
just out of interest, what speed was the ISDN?

i had such a feeling. you do get faster ISDN though nê? *mutters something about bandwidth you have to buy then*

if there's availability in the area, the lowest you can get is 384, if you're in range of the exchange they guarantee aleast a 1megabit if you're willing to pay more.
so the first thing i think you should worry about is to check if your area has ADSL ..now what was that url again? :)
