I have tried opening the ports in question via my router, but the ports remained closed. Then I ran a test to see if my connection to iBurst is through a proxy, and it came out positive. Does it mean that I have to phone iBurst to ask them to open the ports for my specific modem?

You shouldn't have to phone iBurst, as far as I know all ports are open.

What method are you using to determine your external IP address?

Just ran "ping -r 1 www.facebook.com", and my route: <ipaddress> is different from that of port forward. I scanned the new IP address and the ports I want to have open (25565, 554, 443) are all closed via tests run with port scanners

SeeMyIp and router external IP addresses matched up, ran through port scanner, ports I port forwarded via my router are still blocked though. Think iBurst's proxy is blocking those ports for my modem maybe?

Are you sure they are not being blocked by the PC you are forwarding those ports to?

Can you connect to those ports from another PC on your LAN?

No, their transparent proxy only affects outbound port 80 traffic. Inbound traffic shouldn't go near it.

I guess it might be another problem then. I phoned iBurst and they confirmed no ports are being blocked. It might be my router that is causing the issues (Edimax BR6428n). Even though I am certain I configured the pc IP and ports to open correctly under the port forwarding menu of the router. I want to forward port 554 and 443 for an IP camera and port 25565 for playing a game (hosting a Minecraft server).
