Anybody, how do yo delete the auto URLs appearing on the address line of the browser when clicking the drop down list? Not all but some

IE 7
control panel, Internet Options then Browsing History on the General Tab, click delete, in the History section, 3rd down click "delete history.

you can also highlight the URL when it appears in your in the highlight box by using your arrows and pressing the del key.

This works for any browser and email prog... actually pretty much where ever you get those pseudo intelli drop down thingies

download ccleaner.

clean cache, temp files, cookies, forms, etc..

Shred private info...

and that's not all... it even checks for registry issues and allows you to check your startup files..

A quick test in ff seems to indicate that if you show the history side bar (ctrl+h) and delete the offending websites from there they are also removed from the drop down url listing.

Hi bwana, thanx for this. This though refers to search inputs, not URLs...

Oh you've been searching for naughty things then?

EDIT - maybe your best bet is to delete all of the search terms and then remove the tick next to show suggestions?
