guys ....

do you use gear locks ? steering locks ? central locking ?

Is there no real alternative than unplugging the engine fuse? It seems by reading the thread regarding two thieves ... all security is just as good as no security ?

can we not have pepper sprayed into a person's face via the hooter and glove compartment when trying to turn the steering wheel without a key or with foreign objects?

what other ways could we use besides disconnecting the front brakes or taking out the engine fuse / whole fuse box or rigging it with c4 explosives?:D:wtf:

why cant we ask the tracker people to install the device on a place that WE prefer as thieves know all about the usual locations already? (i would want mine to be under the back seats or underneath the spare wheel)

Friend of mine rigged up pepper spray to his car ....hehe i warned him and one night he had a few and got pepper sprayed :D
That was the end of that bright idea

If it is company policy not to make the clients aware of where the tracker units are, then criminals know this and they cannot torture the clients to reveal the location - since they don't know it. It's a good thing, imho.

Just install an additional hidden switch cutting off your fuel pump. That way they can drive your car away (and you can get to safety if you were hijacked) and the car stops a couple of hundred meters away. If the car was parked, same story.

Get a piece of ***** car, lol...

But that wouldn't even help, nothing's safe - if they wanna take it, they will

Sorry Tapatalk crashes each time I open it. In any case I'm a software guy, can't help with this. You should try auto electricians. A simple hidden switch would be very effective.

With the older cars we used to cut out the power to the coil, but with fuel injections this can cause a lot of trouble (fires being one of them from overheating wires).

Like suggested, a simple switch to cut the power to the fuel pump will work well, try and google it to see how you need to do it.

I have one damn ugly big ass plastic spider sitting in the middle of my dash hanging onto the aircon vent.. Funny how many people freak out and wont even get in my car if its there! XD hahaha Never knew it would be that effective!

Apart from the spider, i have central locking, alarm and tracker installed.. Never EVER park your car in dodgy corners and always park in sight if possible or pay the R10 for under cover parking!.. Never leave anything desirable in plain sight, "What the can't see they can't steal nor want!"

Don't live in GP. Don't drive a flashy car (have an old beater). Don't have security. Don't have problems :)
