I'm more of a Medium / Medium rare guy :sneaky:
 
Well done for me, of which the picture is wrong. That "Well done" in the picture is still too raw for my taste.
 
Which one is a better one? I'll revise the OP.

It's not that it's wrong, per se, the outside just looks like the meat was microwaved and not burned over searing hot coals. And the inside looks like there can still be some juice locked in there. But that's just me....

Edit: It might be because I'm usually more "well done" than the steaks, by the time I start the braai

Medium rare for steaks. First time I've heard of "English" :unsure:
Bit too much for me, just made some fillet for myself which was between medium and medium rare. Basically what I normally order as just medium. Haven't tried steak or T-Bone in a long while...

Is it the taste? The reddish juice that comes out of it?

My fiancee also used to eat well done exclusively, because of the juice and the look of the meat. She concedes that medium (or more medium well in the image) definitely tastes better.

I like medium rare, but usually order rare in a restaurant and hope for medium rare to medium...
 
Extra well done, like the outside of that pic. For some reason places like Spur don't seem to understand this and bring me medium even with emphasis on WELL done. I send them back and two minutes later they come back with something between the last two pics. So I tell them however long you had that thing on the grill put it back for that long.

Rare to medium rare thank you very much. To have a good piece of steak we'll done is a waste. Can just as well have a piece of spiced cardboard then. Bleh.
