Hi all. So. I applied online for a specific contract with Virgin Mobile. They said that I do not qualify, may they interest me in a bunch of useless other deals. Now I'm concerned- I have never missed payments on anything, I have a couple of grand left over every month, a steady salary, I have a masters degree, I'm a home owner, my wife is also gainfully employed... In short, I'd have thought I was a pretty good bet! How does one qualify? (Maybe I should consider Cell C... *facepalm*)

Haha... I'm used to losing body parts to service providers. Cell C still has my balls.

Do you have an egdars account? Any debit orders that go off?

If you don't have a credit record they won't give you credit.

Personally, I wouldn't go near Virgin Mobile.

They have a pretty poor presence, have billing horror stories and far too much long-term hassle to consider. You'd be much better off going with 8ta or Cell C... again :p

Do you currently have a contract with Virgin Mobile? If you do and you don't make enough calls to use your current airtime, you are also not approved. Had the same and moved away.

Hmm. Thanks all. I don't have an edgars account, but I do have other cell phone / internet accounts! I'm not currently a virgin contract holder, and I guess I won't be in the future!
Appreciate the communal wisdom. Ciao
