How do you remove tree sap from your car?

It seems I have some of them all over.

Tried nail polish remover, doesn't work, Got some turtle wax also still doesn't work...

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks.

I would first try some degreaser and if that fails ethanol alcohol or meths.

Be sure to wax afterward as it will remove any wax already on the car.

Take it to a panelbeater... ask them to get off, will probably cost you about R200 (shouldn't take more than 10min)

I had tar on my fender they removed for free.

Either get "bug and tar remover" from you local Makro or Builders, or take it to a pro vehicle cleaning place. If it's only been on the car for a day or 2, it should come off without risking your paintwork using something harsh

first pour a few jugs of boiling water over it then use a tar remover, sometimes comes off with just the water.

Small quantity on parrafin on a mutton cloth works wonders, clean it well afterwards with normal washing methods

Related, but not what the OP was asking.

I used baby oil before to remove tar from my car. Got the hint on the web, and it really worked well. Obviously I tried on a hidden part of the paint first to see whether it will damage the paint. It didn't.

The wax product from Rally worked for me. The sooner you attend to it the easier it is to clean.

Some of these ideas make me cringe when I think it's going on car paint!

Warm/hot water - a good car soap and then polish. For Pete's sake don't use abrasives or thinners/nail polish unless you want to remove your paint!!!
