How does climate control work?

Please help me.

I recently upgraded my car from a lousy Uno and this car comes with some sweet stuff, including climate control.

What is it and how does it work? Why would one use it instead of regulating the air via the controls provided?

This exactly. It will adjust the fan speed, heat and air distribution to most effectively keep the inside temperature where you set it.

You know when you get into a car and blast the air-con to cool down, then eventually you start to freeze, you drop the air-con down to 1, still freezing. You then switch it off, and start to sweat.

Climate control will allow your car to maintain a set temperature.

AirCon (which is actually a misnomer) just blasts air at the temperate you set, whether hot or cold.

Climate control regulates the temperature so that it maintains the temperature you choose. So it switches off or on depending on necessity.

Don't open your windows when using climate control.

If it is set on Auto, it will try and get to the set temperature ASAP, if that happens, and you don't mind it taking a little longer, just switch off the Auto and adjust with your fan.

What I like about climate control is the way it works in the middle of winter. 20 C feels all warm and toasty when it's -6C outside! AND you don't have to fiddle with the heater, as it's doing it automatically for you.

I love it.

Leave home at 6 am with it on auto, and when you climb out for a cup of coffee at midday, you suddenly realise it's got up to 30 degrees.

My polo has climate control with a temp dial.
It never regulates f-all.
It just blasts cold f-ing air unless I turn it up then it blasts different degrees of hot air.
