Hi,

When you move to a new house with an adsl line installed already is there a way to transfer your phone account to it or do you have to cancel and get a new one?

No it won't because he'd have to be with ABSA (or some arb ****) to have this service and still have to first cancel the ADSL line installed at the house he's moving to and then "re-apply" for ADSL so that his current phone services gets moved to the new house.

So not saving on much time or hassle or saving him money.

This question is best asked at a Telkom branch, but they'd more than likely tell you the same thing I'm doing right now

You can ask the current owner to do a line transfer to you. In this way there should be uninterrupted ADSL service with you paying for the service from the date specified.

PS. Remember to discontinue your existing service at your current house!
