Hi!

I got the CLOSER plan from Telkom and I was just wondering about something.

How do you get billed if you apply for the plan in the middle of the month? Will I get 150 hours for the remainder of this month?

So say I applied the 17th of March, is the 150 hours till the 17th of April or is it for the remainder of the month and I can use 150 hours before the 30th?

Telkom bills pro rata from the day the service is activated on your account until the end of your current billing cycle and then bills in advance the full amount every subsequent billing cycle.

If you applied on 17 March and your current billing cycle is from 15 March to 14 April then you will be billed R150 / 31 days * 29 days = R140.32.

The same applies for the number of hours. Using the above calculation you get 150 hours / 31 days * 29 days = 140.32 hours or about 8419 minutes.

To find out exactly how many free minutes you have remaining for your current billing cycle, visit Telkom Online Bill at https://ebpp.telkom.co.za. Once you are logged in, click the Account Details link, then the Free Minutes link, then choose the appropriate Billing Account Number from the dropdown list and click Submit. The price plan details including the number of free minutes remaining should appear.
