HI
As a few may have herd, mweb has teamed up with fon in creating wifi hotspots (giving away free modems and range extenders). I am curious to know how this works. Currently i have possible scenarios so I am wondering if anyone has more detail:
Scenario 1
I have a 2 mb uncapped mweb account. Using the fon enabled modem, i have two wifi networks. What ever bandwidth (of my 2mb line) is not used, can be used by fon users on the 2 fon wifi network the modem creates.
Scenario 2
I have a 2mb uncapped line, my modem speed (when i log into the router) shows 8mb line speeds. The fon network will utilize the additional 6 mb of bandwidth left on the line
If its scenario 1, im curious to know how my bandwidth is prioritized over the fon user (ie when im gaming)
