How does using PayPal work??

Hi all....

Sorry for the noob questions.....
I would like to link a credit card or debit card to PayPal in South Africa which contains rands/uses rands to buy something off the internet which is labelled in Pounds.

My question is: Does PayPal convert the currency for you?? For instance if the price was £1 then would R18,12 be deducted from my account? Or is there something else that I need to do?

No fees for purchases. The price, when converted to Rands, will probably not be the very best currency exchange on offer 'tho, but it will be there or thereabouts.

In theory, yes. You're still probably going to bump into regional restrictions 'tho, depending on the retailers you buy from. Won't know 'till you try.
