How fast could ping times be?

Hi there all

Does anyone know what the theoretical fastest ping time would be to the Sentech gateway (presumably Jhb Sentech main tower in Fourways) to the internet if everything was optimal. ie if I managed to get a perfect signal with no packet loss, what ping time would I get to the Sentech Fourways tower? I believe locally we tend to get ping times of about 120ms. But that is to sites on the WEB right and so introduces additional (potential) bottlenecks.

I belive you could see ping times of between 80ms - 140ms depending on your distance from you connecting tower

The airtime (distance from tower) seems to be rather minimal. SNR - Signal to Noice ratio seems to make quite a bit of a difference though...

But Dean's comments on around 80ms min does not seem too far off ;-)
