How Google has failed South African Android developers

Hardly.... I actually despise android and use an iPhone... but I would personally hardly say google has failed SA developers... the barriers to entry in this market for them do not make sense more than likely

And I don't disagree with that btw. I do think it's a more complicated issue. Perhaps if they made a bit more noise about the reasons, they might facilitate change... then again.

Agreed.

Nothing stops Google other than their own unwillingness to make the effort.

They know local developers will continue to support Android anyway, so why bother going to all that trouble.

Which barriers? The barriers to entry are much more in offering a product for sale yet they managed that. I stand corrected on this but I bet there are no barriers at all in allowing SA devs to sell products on their platform.

The sense of entitlement here.
Strange comment. More a sense of a free market. As an SA developer I'd much rather develop for iOS and Symbian and kick Google to the curb if they don't think we're important enough.
