How high will loadshedding get in June?

What's maintenance got to do with it?
They can switch it all on whenever they want.. Like they did on Friday..

Moral : don't believe everything / anything they tell you..
Most of it is propaganda or lies.

Agreed there is some lying going on, but not all of it.

Maybe we need neighbourhood generators, like the way some neighbourhoods successfully fenced themselves off against much of the suburbian crime.
 
I guess it depends on how wet the remainder of winter is gonna be, currently we are being spared the wet coal nonsense.

They didn't switch it all on, on Friday, they had to get some businesses to limit their usage, they burnt diesel they ran pumps, that's why we had load shedding on Saturday and Sunday.
 
Friday's decision will forever be strange - how does the needs of one building require most of the whole country to switch on and with sacrifices????

Which businesses? Where? How much demand did they collectively free up?

If you look at City Power's Twitter, you'll notice they usually have many large areas experiencing power failures simultaneously. I think that might be reducing the load shedding stage we're on. Last week half of Bryanston was off for 30 hours.

A big chunk of Kempton was off for nearly 20 hours on Sunday.

Pity the majority in this country can't get it together, Eishkom should be force-monitored and all publicly reported!
