How long does a Standard to Standard EFT take to go through

I EFT'd the Mrs. Told me it reflected like 5 minutes later when she checked her balance. I'm not married though. This was 3-4 weeks back.

Depends on when you do it and also what type of bank account.

I've got 3 different ones and one takes forever (CC), the savings is normally 1 banking day and the cheque seems to be immediate.

Not gospel but I'm told if there are debit/stop orders going off on that business day they take precedence, EFTs will only be effected if funds permit at end of business day.

Geez, Standard Bank is really a rubbish bank then... With ABSA it's immediate, from ABSA to ABSA.

If i transfer to another bank before 15:30, it'll show around 19:30 that same evening. For an extra R2, I tick a box, and goes through IMMEDIATELY to ANY BANK, at anytime. :-)

uuum, I think it also depends on what time the transaction is done. If it is before a certain time (not sure when but around 17:30) then the money will be in the receiving account immediately. After a certain time, it will be there the next morning.

Credit card payments take a day to reflect :/

Usually immediate, however if you are transferring to your CC, then it takes 24 hours.
