How many bars needed for 7-10Mbit?

Hi, ppl!
My dongle shows "signal level" at 4 bars (of 5) and "HSPA+". Highest speed I saw is about 2Mbit. But some people reports about 8 Mbit! How to achieve this? And sometime 8ta soft shows smth like "WCDMA" (for a short time). What is this about? Need I make those jumps, described in "HOW TO MAKE YOUR 8TA PREPAID SIM NON-ROAMING"?
Thanks!
PS
Dongle is Huawei E367.

I dont think its just about the amount of bars. It also depends on the area you're in and how busy the tower is that you connecting to.

I have connected in Hatfield with 2 bars and got 6 - 7 Mbit on a speedtest.

The first question should be what is the speed of the tower in your area?
The second question should be what is maximum speed of your device?
The third question would be what time of day your are connecting as towers are more congested during the day?

All of above is much more important than your reception. Three bars or beter is sufficient.

I am across the road from the base station and i get full signal (according to Dashboard) -63dBm (MDMA) and i get 1-3mbps during peak and about 5-8mbps off-peak.....

Oh, guys, how I could be happy to know what you ask!
My dashboard jumps between "WCDMA" and "HSPA+" with 5 sticks, RSSA: -87dBm. Nearest tower is visible from my window! And now, at 22:55, I see ridiculous _4_kbps_!!! Definitely network is not busy, but what? 8ta techies, your comments?

On Cell-C I get a AT+CSQ of 25/32 = -63 dBm - no sure how many bars that is.

I get 13.10Mbps DL, and 3.32Mbps UL.

Force your modem to only use HSPA+ and to only use 8.ta towers (not MTN).

8.ta has a roaming agreement with MTN.
The good signal readings (4-5Bars) may be from a close MTN tower that you are not allowed to use.

System32, thanks!
Probably it's MTN, but it's not my headache - 8ta sold this service and they must care about who and where connects. Am I right that it's story about "make my number 8ta only"? (where you need to send additional letter to that cheaters)
I can make it HSPA+ only, but mostly it's already using HSPA+. With big doubts I think about connection to 8ta tower....

Hello, 8ta!
It seems you have a problem providing proper 3G service. How you are responsible by contract if you fail with proper service level? I want to cancel contract with this lamerish company, but obvious I don't have to pay YOU for your fault. Explanations, please...
