I can understand exactly what somebody is saying in Afrikaans or Dutch with context but I probably only understand like 40% of the actual words being said, so no that doesn't count

Nah my understanding much higher but I mess the tenses etc talking back.

Ever been to Asia or South America? You will quickly find that English isn't as widely spoken as you would imagine. All my English language expectations went out the window when I landed in Japan and tried to find my accommodation
