Forgive me for being clueless, what are those programs for?
I installed PeerGuardian a few weeks back coz I was told it makes me "anonymous" online when using a torrent, but after installation my download speed decreased quite significantly. Of course, I can not be sure that it's the program that caused the sudden change, but I ended up uninstalling the thing. The two events happening just one after another might have been pure coincidence, but I'm in no position to say that since I know very little about that program.
Please advise if I should re-install PeerGuardian or put Peerblock.
PS: I'm running XP, btw.
I'd say run peerblock, it works better for me than peer guardian 2 did!!
... give peerblock a bash, rather safe than sorry![]()
I have just downloaded and ran peerblock, but on the start up wizard, there's only one checked option which is the one with P2P connections. Are there any others I should check?![]()
Up until my ISP gives me a call... I must say it is a real speed throttle at times.
Should I also use Peerblock when using GrabIt for NZBs? Are they being watched as torrents?
Peerguardian is not available on Windows. (to save some people the time to look it up).
