I've got a 1meg line from Mweb and currently only one router on it. I have quite a few dsl ports around the house and the Wifi signal isnt so great in some areas. Can I put another router on the same line but a different DSL port at the same time. (I have 2 routers lying around)

Thanks

Not sure if I understand this correctly. Are you asking if you can sync more than one account on one line? As far as I know, no.

But do you mean, can you add more than one router to act as a AP, repeater? Yes, as long as they can repeat the same signal, sure.

Please clarify a little? Perhaps its just me, a bit slow.

Yeah but the routers would need to be connected either by wireless or cable, and configured as Acess Points, it wont help just to plug them into another telephone plug

If I understand what you are trying to do, you can always just connect the routers/switches using Ethernet cables. So yes, the internet connection will then be shared on the whole network.

Thanks for the replies. Basically what I aim to do is have greater wifi coverage. I could do it via WDS but it would not increase my range that much. So since I have multiple telkom line ports, originally for multiple telephones, and 2 routers lying around I would like to plug the routers into the dsl ports without connecting them to the 'main router'. Is it possible and legal?
I have 1 MWEB subscription.

You can only sync 1 router to an ADSL line (or subscription if you want to call it that). You will need to install a wireless repeater on your ADSL router if you want to increase signal in the rest of your house.

Only if those multiple telephone ports each have a different phone number.
