How many users on 50Mbps ADSL Line

Hi

need some info:

How many users can I provide internet with on a 50Mbps ADSL line with the following speeds:

2048Kbps - ?
1024Kbps - ?
512Kbps - ?
384Kbps - ?

Any calculations how to do this will be much appreciated.

How many users will you be able to fit into those speed categories, it will be the 50mb devided by each speed category. I think?

Okay sorry for not providing much details:

Let's say I have an 50Mbps adsl line, I want to provide 100 customers internet from this 50Mbps line, how can it be calculated to say i can provide for instance "60 customers with 384Kbps out of my line" and "30 customers 512Kbps of the same line" and " 10 customers with 1024Kbps of the eaxct same line"

Is it posible to provide 100 customers on a 50Mbps line if i Devide it in those diffrent speed catogories?
 
Apart from the basic math, you can throw in contention ratio as well.

E.g. with your typical consumer internet, ISP's promise that no more than 20 other people share a piece of the bandwidth with yourself. It generally works well, because not everyone uses their share at the same time!

So, what you could do is multiply the numbers provided by your preferred contention ratio:
2048Kbps - 25 * 20 = 500 users
1024Kbps - 50 * 20 = 1000 users
512Kbps - 100 * 20 = 2000 users
384Kbps - 166 * 20 = 3320 users
 
I hope you are planning for the inevitable faults in the system where you have no SLA with your upstream provider.

Except for the fact that the line is already contended. So you are adding more contention on top of what already exists with ADSL services. Can understand doing this if you have a dedicated line but with ADSL the lines will become basically unusable.
