How MTN is saying sorry for its massive data downtime

Whoever it was needs a swift kick to the nuts

The sad thing is that was probably the best idea that their brains trust could think of. I can imagine how the decision makers eyes must have lit up at the best idea to appease clients in the history of the universe.

What a joke. I remember when cell c were doing upgrades to their accounting system they rested everyone data for free. Example if you were on a 5 gig package, depleted all data you would automatically get 5 gig of data again.

Poor PR response from MTN.

Once again, MTN sincerely apologises to its customers for the inconvenience caused,” MTN said. “We remain committed to providing you with a distinct customer experience which you have come to expect from MTN.

Don't really expect anything from them come July i will be a proud "unsupporter" of mtn.

What a joke. 1 hour free for 48 hours with no data. And this is only for people who bought a day bundle on those days. Going to move to another network.

MTN will be offering some of the subscribers affected by its recent intermittent connectivity problems a 1GB data bundle that is valid for 1 hour.
Mwhahahahahahahahahaha

I didn't even know they was having down time. I barely use my data when I'm at home, they are too expensive.

Rural area, there is edge available, telkom piggybacks on MTN's network, but they were down as well for some reason. Cellc piggybacks on vodacom here, both only have edge and sketchy at best, dropped calls, or no signal on weekends even on weekdays.

It sounds familiar, I won't be able to use 100 meg in an hour even if I wanted to. = also in the rural areas.

That's not saying sorry, that's just supplying what people paid for!

not even

1 hour does not equal 24.

they are saying "bend over backwards so we can shaft your butt a bit more".

and. nothing, not even a R10 credit to those that have contracts, or even prepaid that had no data, and some even no calls.

This is even more disgusting than their Nigerian fine.

Sadly I' ve just signed, but will definately reconsider in 2 years when contract ends.

@MTN - you need to learn how to care for your customers, they fund your business.

And when are they gonna stop their daily SMS spam?

Hahhahahahahahahahahahahaha this is classic.

So before the qualifying ppl choose which hr to use, they first need to make sure they know exactly what they to download (can't waste a minute searching for it) and that they have good coverage (don't want the download speed wasting time). This is crazy!

I don't get spam anymore on 4 MTN numbers. You need to send Stop to anything that will accept it. And call customer care and tell them to **** off with the spam.

Took some effort, but is possible.
