How much data a Vodacom subscriber uses

The average Vodacom subscriber uses just under 1GB of data per month.

I'm sure Telkom subscribers use a lot more, as they pay a lot less than Vodacom for data.

Both are good questions. Would like to think that the more active users are likely to be using well over double this.

I seriously doubt these stats anyway. Not like these CEOs tell the truth

The point is that I suspect other network users use more but it’s tough to speculate for avg of entire user base of eg MTN. Telkom is easy to know it will be higher.

The contentious issue with teleco stats is that usage stats obscure what’s really going on sometimes. Keep in mind that use cases are very different.. SA has > 100% penetration which means multiple sims per person.. indicating that some devices are not data devices or low use data devices. Eg Apple Watch, Cell phones, tablets etc vs modem/router <-/ latter technically can be fixed mobile.

So yah..eg I could have 4 sims 9gb so my avg is 2.x gb albeit only one active device others are payg for finding device if lost/stolen.
