4K requires much more bandwidth than that. A decent 4K video will be about 1GB per minute (not 100KB, that's closer to compressed HD) and if you run at less compression and higher bits per colour, closer to 33GB per minute.

Then with VR or 3D, you have to double that.

Netflix bandwidth requirements are not heavy, it also adapts the quality to your download speed. You can easily do 1080p on a 4Mbs line for example.

Quality is adaptive based on your speed, they recommend 25Mbs but at lower speeds you might get a lower quality UHD stream.

Also why not use an Ethernet cable to make sure you get the highest bitrate or at the very least just test it and see if the speeds reported stay the same then continue with Wi-Fi?

Can the Samsung CPU handle heavy 4k decompression? I doubt it was 4k....

On that note, I only have a 4mb line and is very happy with my 1080p stream.

I saw Netflix drop a few times to 480p on my Roku and somehow, Netflix still makes that look like 1080p. Don't know how they do it.

On my previous Samsung TV I could just press the info button and it gave stats about the stream. My new 4k tv remote does not have that button
