How much do contact lenses cost?

So finally got contact lenses!

Putting them in and taking them out isn't too fun, but I'm hoping I'll get better at it.
Touching your eye is WEIRD!

I've got a slight problem where the normal contact lenses sort-of 'strangled' my eyes. After about 3 years of extended wear, my optometrist expressed his concerns about the vein in my eyes.

I was switched over to a more comfortable (and expensive) type. I'm long overdue for getting a new set, but since I'm mostly wearing my glasses at work lately, the contacts only get worn on weekends. They are 6 week disposables, but due to the erratic wear they're getting, I've extended that to more than 4 months without issue. Just clean them properly.

for what it's worth, I hate wearing my glasses but every now and then i give my eyes a day off. Usually my eyes feel absolutely ****e when i do it, glasses make my eyes 100x more tired, scratchy etc.

Longest i've ever worn contacts was 3 days solid - without sleeping, and no i wasn't trashed, i was on a deadline.

When and if your eyes get scratchy, with some of the fluid's you get you can just use that as eye drops IF it doesn't irritate your eyes - opto told me. I do and it works just fine. Otherwise pop them out into the container for 5 min then back in.

When I used to wear contacts the one day disposables were my favourites but LASIK surgery beats them all

The chances of that happening is very low. They usually under compensate anyway.

Which is better, the daily disposable ones or the ones that last about a month, or the hard lenses?

Which brand do you prefer?

Do prices vary according to strength?

Which optometrist do you go to?

I’m kinda sick of the whole glasses thing, so looking for a change.

For the cost and prolonged damage it does if not taken care of correctly. I'd rather get lasik
