Had similar to this poll question recently.

Tip occasionally when it feels right. They have much more chance if they don't get in my face. About R2 to R4.

I do tip on most occasions but it depends if they are attentive or not
In a shopping cntr +- R2 at night R5
On the St or open parking R5 at night R7-R10

Times are tough and I try help people where I can. (the defendants on MYBB won't believe this though as it affects their narrative)

I don't tip car guards.

I've had my vehicle broken into while a car guard was standing in front of the vehicle. He claims he thought it was the owner who struggled to get the door open.
this, I had one actively try jamming me, and I caught them red handed, its because I'm pedantic and quite mad that I noticed the doors not locking,

dude was trying to hustle me away, and jamming my remote control at the same time, silly dude though I was an ordinary, not knowing I'm quite crazy most of the time.

since then, car guards are like beggars wearing hi vis jackets, standing around getting money for being a lamppost
and meanwhile not doing anything if your car gets stolen, or worse, actively collaborating with the thieves

never have and never will tip them, despite people telling me they just trying to earn a living.

Times are indeed tough, but standing around waving your arms like a tool isnt a job to me,

if I want to help somebody, get them a cheap cup of coffee, some bit of food, something other than money, that they cant go spending on drugs.

car guards to me are extortionists, that are the thieves themselves, when they aren't stealing and committing crime

Good man. People are quick to view them as a nuisance, but when you need a bankie at 11PM on Friday night, where else you gonna go?

Don't tip , I'm straight forward with them and the robot barnacles.
Look them in the face and tell them." I don't have anything for you".

Eventually you get a reputation with them and they don't even ask anymore
