How much for a 8800GTX?

How much should I expect to pay for a Gigabyte 8800GTX? It's obviously second hand.

I was thinking of about R750? Or is that too high?

Well you can get a HD 4850 for R1150 incl so imo R750 is spot on. I see alot of 8800gt's that goes for R1000 which is a ripoff.

It doesn't matter what the card is actually worth in gaming terms, it's how people perceive it and what they're willing to pay. 8800gtx was THE monster card in its time, it's still a very good performer, not too far from 4850 levels in relative terms.

He doesn't mean Failcard in terms of it is not a good card, he means failcard in terms of a lot of them fail nowadays, as in pack up or break. There was a thread somewhere on Prophecy about a guy who's 8800gtx card stopped working. He put it in the oven and fixed it:
