A simply question really...

How much has your 22 inch changed your pc lives?

If given the option, would you have a fast pc with a 17inch, or a slowish pc with a 22 inch?

Will be interesting to read your responses.
 
Didn't change it much, I fill the available desktop real estate :D

Interesting question, I'd probably go for the fast PC.
 
well at the moment lol till i get my fast pc sorted... i am sitting with a slow pc running through my new 22" and can't believe i lasted so long with a 17" crt!
 
Well you can't really say that the 22" and a slow pc will be good for gaming because it will = lag. So I'd rather have a 17" and a fast pc unless I could use the 22" with my xbox.
 
the move for me wasn't 22-it was 24 and its awesome,just wanna get a new GFX so i can play some games,movies and series on this beast is awesome
 
I'd rather have fast computer with 17" and then get a 22" and have both :D
 
If you're going to use it for gaming then get the 17" and save up for a 22" later.

If you're not gaming, 22" for the win./

It's changed my life a lot. I'm finally able to see the bigger picture in life. I have a new found confidence. I can now see a lot more women at the same time.

love my 22" as well, best part though is the dual view capabilities, so half the credit still goes to 17" crt

only thing that irks me is that i have 2 zoom web pages cos of text being too small:confused: a firefox plugin makes that a bit easier though
 
i thought we where talking about p3n!s sizes, was gonna ask, if you also get lightheaded when you get umm.. excited ?
 
22" for work is amazing...
If i was u i would go for the fast pc neday, a 22" is not gonna help you run things ne better which should take priority over picture size.
will get myself a 22" for xmas i reckon, cant wait to game on it, for now my 19" lcd is fine..
 
Hehe, some of the responses have been quite funny.

Ok taking games out of the question, how has your pc habbits changed with a bigger screen?

It seems the gamers will choose an uber pc with a 15 inch crt over a slow pc with a 30 inch. :)

Remember you have to live with your choice, you can't say you will get the pc then upgrade the screen later, the idea is to choose your fate, then live with it until your next pc.

You should set your font dpi setting to 120 will make everything a bit bigger.

right click desktop, click properties, click the settings tab, click advanced until general change the dpi from 96 to 120. Makes everything look good and you don't have to squint.
 
i have it set to 110 already

on 120 some of the interface labels e.g. tab and dialog boxes are too big
 
im not a gamer ... only web browsing, email, music and the odd application.

So ... slower pc with a 22" (which is what i have : havent touched my pc in 2 years ...)
