How much is 350MB exactly.

My balance on my via 162 on my phone states I have 350MB (new bundle just kicked in)
MTN Active website states I have been allocated 367MB.

How exactly is this worked out. Nether of these figures are divisable by 8. Thought it may be 352.

or 1024*1024 bytes (1048576 bytes)
depending on who you ask, the context it's in, and the phase of the moon.

You recharged at the 350*1024*1024 rate (367001600 bytes), and it's showing it to you in the 1000*1000 form.

No AFAIK they measure your usage in Bytes, there is no extra 17MB about it. It's 350MiB which works out to 367001600 bytes.

mtn is to greedy to give any extra Mb,they will rather give you less,and say it's some technican problem and they working on it >.<

I don't know about you but a meg always have been and always will be 1024*1024 (1048576 bytes) regardless of the context of phase of moon.

You should really think before you state stuff like that.

You guys are referring to the marketing strategies imposed by hard drive manufacturers. If you buy a 1 terabyte drive you won't get the full 1 terabyte because of the formatting requirements.

Wrong, if you buy 1 a terabyte drive you will only get 931GB because the drive manufacturers redefined a terabyte as one trillion bytes.
Thereafter, you will still lose more capacity because of filesystem overhead.

It must be nice to live in your own reality of such certainty

After holding out for the past few decades the next Mac OS is changing the display of hard drive space from 1024*1024 to 1000*1000. I'm sure Windows will follow soon enough. Then your world will surely crumble!
