So Australia is behind SA in telcoms , who'll guess that? Freaking weird.

It sure is.

Thought they'd be miles ahead of ours.

Using CellC for both my wife and my cellphone (prepaid) we pay less than average R250 to R300 per month - and we SMS each other regularly (and I SMS other people also regularly).

Every Sunday my wife and mother-in-law (her mother) abuses CellC's "free call" :D

So no complaints from my side, although I would love to have a new cellphone.

So we stand before the question: Affordable rates or all the latest fads almost really needs or uses. I know I would prefer the former, mate!

How the hell do you get it that high!!!

:eek::eek::eek:Do you get time for anything else, other than using your phone?

Dude, we on the phone constant, we make on average around 100 calls to maybe 150 calls, and people use my phone at the office as well. As have tons of minutes availble to spare, whatever is over. I pay like R500 from my pocket. My perks at the company I work for are way over my means for my job, but hey when you've a good relationship with your boss, he treats and spoils u like his son...

The highest people every month get listed as the most wanted cellphone abusers :p
and everyone has value on what they spend... Out of the 30 of us, I was like top 20 and now in the 29....
The top 1 guys are like directors and managers they spend on average around R5 - R18 grand a month...
Try top that out, the one with R18 grand, calls his daughter and son who live overseas...

Well mate, that is called a right-off.. Less money for the goverment ain't corruption.. I know other people, who claim with there dinners card, entertain their family not the clients, and that is a right-off.. Ain't going to tell more, but I'm learning a-lot working for 3 companies over the 2 years in industry..

claiming expenses from the business while entertaining family ?? :) if you not the owner of the company and you do this you get fired!... but Ive heard of a few owners of companies doing this to show some expenses against their incomes and in so doing pay less tax :)

"tax write offs" ... but just be careful how thin you slice your bread ... guys get caught by the tax dudes ... to me personally it becomes a bit vague if it is fraud if you the owner of your own company doing this ... cause it is your business and your money in that business

... all this if I assumed correctly ... btw sorry i derailed the thread

Hi all, just curious. What is your average cellphone bill every month? Mine differ from R120 to R170. My contract cost R29, which include the phone, Motorola v360, 85 min off peak and 15 peak min. The rest is calls and approx 100 sms. Data is approx R100 pm with crappy virgin. What is yours?

I have 2 staff cell phones = R 0.00 a month

Then I have 2 contracts for family members = R 1000.00 a month give or take a little

Mine's about R40 per month. MyCall 100 subscription R29 per month. I usually go slightly over my peak minutes, but I try to restrict my chats to off peak periods.

Two Mycall 100 @ R29-00 / month each and one Procall 120. Usually between R450 - R500 per month for all three.
