I always figured my PC would be cheap if I had to replace it, like say in the event of it being stolen. This is probably because I bought it in smaller bits over a long period of time and never had to spend a lot in one go.

So that got me thinking, how much is your PC worth? Should be interesting what setups fellow forumites have.

My laptop was R10000/R9500 worth when I bought it, 2 years ago. i7-4700MQ, 1TB hdd, and GT755M. Don't know what it's worth now... Plays games occasionally...

Probably around R8000 or so. The GT755 is quite weak compared to current gen.

Mine:
Lenovo Y5070 (GTX960M 1080p IPS version): About R12k. Peripherals totals it to probably around 14k, though only if I'm at home as I don't take any of them with.

about R200

Built from spares and scrap, never paid a cent for it. Not great specs (duo core, 4GB ram, 320GB Hard drive and a 1GB Nvidia GPU).

probably not worth anything.

my laptop cost me R15k about 4 years ago.

asus rog g56jk.

saw the new model the other day. R16k.
 
About 25k. The only components that really are of value are the graphics cards and maaaybe the CPU (4690K for the overclockers)
 
That is what happened to me, my build took about 5 years and was due for some upgrades when they broke into my home and took everything. (No insurance at the time)

Interesting, I did this calculation for insurance purposes last night.

Of course, most of the stuff I got at discounted prices (Carb etc.), but this would be the replacement value.
