How much is your PC worth?

Wow, haha, why do you guys need multiple TB's of HD space?

Bit of a weird question in 2017... a TB is not much.

I have all the F1 races from 1991-2010, that alone is over 1TB.

My rFactor 2 installation with mods (on Steam) is 300GB. Total Steam size is likely over 600GB.

Wife's music folders are about 500GB.

Linux Distro's hidden inside a folder, inside a folder, inside a folder and the folder's icon changed to Internet Explorer for safety

Interesting how everyone included cost of software.... :)

Perhaps, but counter argument to the fact that its 2017, I'm more understanding to wanting more space a few years ago, but with streaming so prevalent I dont keep anything locally anymore. No movies, series, music, nothing. Games, fair enough, but its still less than 1TB.

I can understand storing things for the sake of having a collection, as with any collection in life.

None of the things I mentioned are streaming-related. Also, we have multiple backups of her music.

Oh, and I forgot her photo editing. RAW format takes up a ****load of space alone, then saving multiple edits of the same pic in other, smaller formats. Have backups of that too.

My 2TB is just for pronz and the 4TB is full of series and movies we never watch because we got Showmax.

I have a couple of MSDN keys so not a problem. However my home PC ran a crack activated Windows 7 that was upgraded to Windows 10 for free. So I have a "legit" Windows 10 pro install on it.

Lol if I have to include software costs just on my work PC, and the related content made over the years, 250K easy, the software alone is about 120K.

PC replacement value is about 30K.

I need to get a 3TB HDD soon to move steam over to as it is I have 66gb left on the steam HDD. :(

I'm not bragging, just making a point to a n00b who thinks a few Terabytes is a lot of space in 2017.

We don't all hoard stuff. I stream movies, if I finish a game I uninstall it. The internet is my storage :D

Then you need to argue properly :p Your steam library is small, even mine is small comparatively.Besides I am not going to download 1.75TB of steam games again, hence the backups ;) Besides I don't hoard I don't have space for it ;( All of it is essential stuff.

OK then.
