How much Local on Telkom 3GB after cap?

Hey guys, I know this question has been asked before, but I can't seem to find a thread...

Anyways : How much local cap does one get after you're capped on a Telkom 3GB account?
Is this local cap free?

30GB is free. If you use more than that, you pay per GB.

You get 10GB free local for every 1GB international you buy, so a 3GB account will give you 30GB local after cap.
 
Yes R25.50 for every 1GB you use over that.

Go to www.telkomsa.net and click on all access and product. They specify what you get with the account :-)
 
Telkom will keep track of how much you abuse it so later they will abuse u in some way like 'striking' your phone line with lightning which takes out your router. nah, im jus projecting. meant to say 30gigs

Alot of people I know are abusing this local usage thing, many (and I mean many) have done 100GB+ and Telkom said nothing!
(Remember my post bout doing 180GB!)

As a matter of fact, one of my friends manage to speak to someone 'who sounded like he knew what he was talking about' and this oke said that 'personally' he was also raping local BW, Telkom is 'threating' to charge people because they don't want the local BW system abused, just imagine if all the 'downloaders' out there knew they could get away with it and did 300GB a month (which is easy, trust me, I know!)

The system would probably fall over and die...

Having said that, he told my friend that, he doesn't want to 'say' that he said you should go crazy, just don't push it, because they still 'could' charge.

There is alot of 'ifs' and 'maybes' if you ask me.

Personally, i'm about 20GB over my 30GB local cap, if they charge me, it's not too bad, i'll pay it. But I dont wanna push my luck again and get a bill for 180GB local BW usage, then I'm screwed. :rolleyes:

So, if you've done 30GB, either stop or buy another 3GB account (new one, not topup etc) and do another 30GB local or just do what I'm doing, go over, but don't do it with a mission, i'm sure Telkom will over look it.
 
thing is you can always go over the 30GB by a lot for months. But don't be surprised when Telkom exercises its right to charge you R25 per gig for every gig over your limit.
 
So, If I have a 1GB account, and all I do is use local bw, my 1GB will be used up first, and then I go over to 10gb local?
 
I would not tempt the Beast by using more than your allotted amount. Don't come and whine here when you do eventually get a fat bill.
