How much should ADSL cost?

I just had a thought. If I will now be paying per GB why should I pay a different price for different bandwidth speeds? If I have a 1Mb line and I use more, Telkom will get more money out of me anyway.
Explain that one to me.

The more I think about this the more I realise that the whole aim of the new pricing is to increase the revenue from the business clients. Most home clients will probably be switching to the cheapest line option and will now be watching their useage like hawks. What that means is I will be paying Telkom LESS money per month than I used to. So their homeDSL revenue will drop, but business DSL users will be forced to keep their usage as is and will therefore be giving telkom another massive boost in profits.

Go Telkom!

Telkom is desperately trying to protect their Diginet product. The fact that it is outdated (was outdated worldwide when first offered by Telkom in the 80's) is of no concern !

And the business clients will recoup their bigger Telcom bills from their customers i.e. us. So inflation will go up, disposable income will go down, the economy will slow down, the Rand will weaken, and so on. Let's face it, the man in the street will suffer through Telkom's greed without knowing why.:p
